About Our Story

Shawarma Castle is a family owned restaurant located in Windsor, Ontario. It all started in 2008 with a dream, a passion for cuisine, and a Lebanese Canadian chef who had a love for authentic Lebanese food and wanted to showcase what Lebanon has to offer. For over a decade, Shawarma Castle has been located in our classic West Wyandotte spot where it has become a hotspot for shawarmas, serving customers from all over the Windsor-Essex county. We have also become the “go-to” spot for the thousands of students from University of Windsor who are delighted to enjoy our world class tasty shawarmas. Our authentic food and ideas all come from the hardworking employees who want nothing but to provide you with the best service and experience. We take great pride in our high quality fresh and natural ingredients and home-made recipes. We invite you to try and experience our authentic Tabbouli Salad, home-made Hummus mixed with Tahini, and our famous all-natural thinly sliced and vertically grilled chicken or beef famous shawarmas. We also offer a vegetarian option which includes our freshly made falafel.

Andrew Hedges

“Best chicken shawarma sandwich in town!”

Joshua Barnett

“Great place to eat, have been going here since 2009 when I was going to the university. My wife and I drive from Wheatley to get our Shawarma here now as most of the shawarma places nearby aren't as good and they have fries instead of the potatoes. I don't know what I like more the potatoes or the chicken shawarma both are fantastic. The garlic sauce is the best. Customer service is also great, once and awhile there are new people making my food but always are friendly.”

Jack Shannon

“If you are looking for a great Lebanese food this is the place to go. I highly recommend their shwarma. It is a taste that you will want to come back to time and time again.”

Lincoln Savi

“The food here is really good. Very fast and affordable too. I've been to shawarma places that looked nicer but the food wasn't as good. If you're a university student, I recommend trying shawarma castle.”
